Gum Contouring: Gum contouring is a procedure performed using laser technology, where excessive gum tissue is removed and recontoured thereby decreasing the gum display and increasing your teeth display with optimal gingival aesthetics.

Crown Lengthening: Crown lengthening is a procedure where your gums and the underlying bone is shaped to decrease the excess bulge seen on the gums thereby increasing the display of your teeth. It is done for functional as well as aesthetic reasons. It can be either an osseous (bony in nature) or a simple gum procedure.

Lip Repositioning Surgery: Lip Repositioning Surgery is a cosmetic surgery performed where your lips will be repositioned to the lower level, so that it can hide the display of your gums while you are smiling.

 Orthodontic Treatment: Some gummy smiles might also require orthodontic treatment to correct the condition while few may require surgical intervention.

What will happen in my first consultation?
Your preliminary examination will be done. If required, an x-ray will be taken to study your overall oral health and to plan a treatment focusing on the cause of gummy smile. The treatment plan will be explained to you, and accordingly you can begin with the procedure either on the same day provided if you are medically fit and if the case is feasible or an appointment will be raised as per the doctor’s availability and your convenience.

Is the procedure painful?
Gum contouring is absolutely a pain free procedure that can be performed without the need of a local anaesthesia. For a few procedures, a local anaesthesia will be administered which will cause numbness. Once the numbness takes its effect, there is absolutely no pain felt.

How many appointments are required?
The number of appointments depends on the type of treatment advised. If it’s a simple gum reshaping it will be done in a single appointment but if it requires osseous and/or orthodontic treatment it will take multiple appointments to complete the procedure.

What will be treatment charges?
The treatment charges will depend on the complexity of your case and the type of treatment plan advised at your first consultation visit along with the treatment plan the charges would be specified based on which a decision can be made by you.

Are there any diet restrictions after the treatment completion?
We will walk you through the post-operative instructions after the treatment. You will be asked to drink plenty of water and the only diet restriction you will have would be to avoid eating hard and sticky food and food which is very hot and spicy for a week.
